I would thoroughly recommend taking just five minutes to read this page on suicide if you feel like you're drowning. It helped me through a dark time.

http://www.metanoia.org/suicide/

One thing that always stuck in my head was the line "People often turn to suicide because they are seeking relief from pain. Remember that relief is a feeling. And you have to be alive to feel it. You will not feel the relief you so desperately seek, if you are dead."

I know this has nothing to do with you but please vote. The Voting closes tomorrow and if you haven't voted, especially for "The Cookie Crumbles" then SHAME on you. Get Voting. Depression is serious so lets get it some recognition. http://www.cliconline.co.uk/en/about/clicawards

When it comes to depression I always physically try harming myself even though I may not deserve it. I regularly have a handful of suicidal thoughts, any advice on how I can make this stop?:-(

@demijaynex

Thank you for being so honest and sharing your concerns; it's really brave to ask for help. It sounds like you're going through a very tough time and you're unsure of how to deal with these feelings. Recognising that you don't deserve to harm yourself is a really big step forward.

There is a lot of support and advice available to you to help manage self harm and suicidal thoughts - please don't feel alone. We have put a couple of websites below which have information you might find useful. It would also be good, if you feel able, to talk to someone about what's going on and how you're feeling. At MEIC we have a confidential service which is available 24/7; we can be contacted via Free Phone, Text or Instant Chat - please see details below...
