Cocaine is a white powder and is usually taken by snorting up the nose. It can be smoked and is sometimes made into solution and injected. It is an expensive drug.
It has the effect of making people feel confident and on top of the world.
After a night using cocaine some people feel as if they have the flu.
It can also be known as coke, c, snow and Charlie.
Included in the risks are:
- It is very addictive
- Death can be caused by an overdose
Cocaine is a class A drug so that is illegal to have, sell or give away. Possession of cocaine can mean a 7 year prison sentence and supplying cocaine can mean a life sentence and an unlimited fine.
