Museums and art galleries are popular locations for school trips. However, you can visit museums and art galleries outside of school in your free time and at weekends. All museums and galleries in Wales are free to enter.
Museums can be great places to find out more about a particular subject. Many museums have different exhibitions, which are changed throughout the year. There are many different types of museums in Wales from which exhibit art, music, literature and historic artefacts from coal mining to wool.
The UK's national museums and art galleries are located in London. These include:
