Sports events happen all year round in different places over the year. International tournaments and competitions give the best athletes from each country a chance to compete. These events create a lot of excitement, especially in the area the event is held. This section provides information on the largest events in Wales and the rest of the world.

Equality and Sport

All athletes should be able to compete on equal grounds. Sports groups and societies have taken the necessary measures to ensure this, such as stamping out racism in sport and banning performance enhancing drugs which give an athlete an advantage over others. This section focuses on the issues surrounding equality in sport, and how the sporting world is acting to ensure athletes compete equally.
