Astronomy

  • Astronomy is the study of space, the stars and the planets in our solar system
  • You may learn about astronomy in physics lessons at school
  • You can study the stars and planets by looking at the sky at night. In order to see them in more detail many people use a telescope or binoculars
  • Telescopes and binoculars can be very expensive so it may be a good idea to borrow them from a friend if you can to start with
  • A good way of learning more about astronomy is to join a club where you can learn what to look for in the sky and what it means
