When Things Go Wrong

One guarantee in life is that from time to time things will go wrong.

Circumstances can suddenly change causing conflicts to happen in every relationship. Sometimes they are just arguments or misunderstandings but sometimes they are more serious, like being bullied, discriminated against or in extreme situations, being abused.

Whether it is a situation in your life that has gone wrong or a conflict with someone, its a natural reaction to wonder whether you are to blame for what has happened or to try to find reasons to justify why it happened.

It is also a perfectly natural reaction to feel scared, worried and confused.

When you are feeling this way it is difficult to find solutions, the situation might feel overwhelming and hopeless but it won't feel like that forever.

The most important thing to remember if you feel troubled or concerned about the situation you are in is to talk to and confide in someone you trust to get the support and advice you need. There will almost always be ways to overcome the problems you are facing, it might not feel that way at the time but when you are feeling a bit better and stronger you will might be able to find ways to improve the situation.

Or, if you prefer, you can also approach professional organisations that exist to help, protect and support you so you don’t have to deal with your problems alone or in silence.
