Diabetes
Diabetes is caused when the pancreas does not produce enough of the hormone insulin. Diabetes can also occur if the body is not able to use insulin properly.
Insulin transforms the glucose in your blood into the energy you need. Without insulin, your glucose levels would build up in your blood.
There are two types of diabetes:
- Insulin dependent diabetes when sufferers need to inject themselves with insulin to help turn the glucose into energy
- Non-insulin dependent diabetes when sufferers need to stick to a balanced diet
Causes of diabetes:
- Over-eating or being overweight
- Not enough exercise
- Family history
Symptoms of diabetes:
- Needing to urinate excessively
- Feeling thirsty
- Extreme fatigue
- Weight loss
- Recurrent thrush
- Itchy genitals
- Blurred vision
If you suspect you may be diabetic, please visit your GP as soon as you can.

firstly you should review how you address genitalia. why is one called female genitals and the other called penis? gender does not equal genitals and vice versa. for example a person whose assigned female at birth (due to having a vagina) may identify as a man, a person whose assigned male at birth (due to having a penis) may identify as a woman.the part that says "The hymen, a membrane covering the virgin vagina designed to break during first-time sex. However the hymen can break before that, during sport for example. This can
cause a small amount of bleeding but is perfectly normal" is worded weirdly and wrong.virginity is a social construction. the hymen stretches not breaks. check out laci green for more information. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qFojO8WkpA

Duly noted zippedlips, the info section is currently under going a long overdue redevelopment. I've always thought it's weird how me have separate penis and testicles section but female genitalia is lumped into one (so to speak).
