Are you interested in finding out more about the challenge of participating in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme?
Over the past few years many young people within Wrexham have achieved their Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards
WHY NOT YOU?
Wrexham Open Award Centre presently meets each Monday and Wednesday night in the Victoria Young People’s Centre, 13 Hill Street, Wrexham. LL11 1SN. The opening times are from 6.00pm to 8.30pm and only young people taking part in the Award are allowed in the building on these nights.
The expedition training part of the programme is compulsory and we require all our bronze participants to complete some First Aid training
You do not have to attend both nights every week but only come for the activities you are taking part in.
There is to be a re-launch meeting in the Centre on Monday 2nd and Wednesday 4th November at 6.30pm, at which you will see a presentation about the Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards; have the opportunity to speak to other young people who have taken part in the Award and get more details of the various activities which we can offer you. If you want to know more before you come along to the meeting, please have a look at the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award website (http://www.dofe.org) where you will find out more information.
We look forward to seeing you.
