Difficult Decisions 2016-17
Local Authorities continue to face a reduction in funding from central Government, which means that Councils must continue find ways function and deliver services with much smaller budgets. In Wrexham we estimate that we are going to need to save a further ?45million over the next three years. This is in addition to the ?23.2million we have already saved over the last three years.
Whilst we are doing all that we can to protect services, the ongoing need to make significant savings year after year, is leading to us having to make more and more difficult decisions.
Last year more than a thousand of you took part in our budget consultation, and it?s time for you to tell us what you think about the proposals we?re making for how to make savings, and generate more income for the 2016-17 financial year.
The ?Difficult Decisions 2016-17? booklet contains more detailed information on the process of reshaping our services, and on the proposals themselves.
There are a number of ways you can tell us what you think of our proposals.
1. Please complete the survey ? either online or in paper version telling us to what extent you agree with the proposals we are making.
2. There will be more detailed consultations conducted with service users for some of these proposals ? which will also contribute to the decision making process.
3. You could also write to us at ?Tell Us What You Think?. 3rd Floor Annex. The Guildhall. Wrexham. LL11 1AY
4. Or email us at telluswhatyouthink@wrexham.gov.uk (please mark your correspondence ?Difficult Decisions?)
The closing date for responses to this consultation is Tuesday 27th October 2015.
