Difficult Decisions
Cuts in funding from Central Government mean that Wrexham Council need to find savings of at least £11million for 2015/16.
Wrexham Council have some ideas for how we could make these savings, and these ideas add up to £13million. We’ve tried to come up with more ideas than we need, so that we can get your opinion on what you think we should be doing. By taking part in this consultation you can help us to make these ‘Difficult Decisions’.
You can let us know what you think by taking part in a survey online at www.wrexham.gov.uk/budget (or there are paper copies available in places like libraries). Online you can also find more information, videos and pictures about this consultation.
There are quite a lot of proposals in the survey, and you may not understand or have something to say about all of them. We’d still be happy to hear what you think – even if it’s just about some of the Council’s ideas.
If you don’t want to take part in the survey, you might want to look at the proposals within it, and email us or write to us to let us know what your school council (or whole school!) think. The deadline for telling us what you think is Friday 24th October (this is so that we have enough time to look at all of the responses we receive and use this feedback to make decisions early in 2015).
