How to get involved with Young Wrexham?
Young Wrexham relies on the participation and engagement of young people. This can be young people sending in articles, uploading videos / photos and letting us know what events are taking place where they live. Some of the ways you can get involved are:
Creating an account:
By logging into Young Wrexham anywhere that has internet access you can upload articles as soon as you have written them. They then get sent to the Editor to check the content just to make sure there is no bad language and no rude images, once checked they go off for translation. Translation can take a while, but don't worry because as soon as it's back it will be loaded onto the site to go live.
Be a 'Budding' Reporter:
Fancy reporting on local issues? Issues that you think are relevant to other young people in Wrexham, Wales, the UK and the World. If this is something you would like to do then create an account and get reporting, you can also join our editorial group to get accreditation for your work.
Editorial Group
The editorial group looks at writing articles for the website and has been involved in the current design. They have been away on residentials with Clic and other editorial groups in Wales and on these residentials they have undertaken training such as creative writing and digital story telling, for which they have all received accreditation, accompanied by a certificate. All young people who have or are attending the editorial group are part of the millennium Volunteer awards.
If you are interested in being part of the Young Wrexham website (and are aged between 11 and 25) and joining the editorial team then let us know by;
